Situational analysis to inform strategy development

Our team have worked with government agencies, United Nations Agencies and NGOs to conduct detailed situational analyses to inform youth policy and strategy development at a local and national level, and support targeted interventions to improve the provision of youth services on the ground.

We have conducted detailed situational analysis on youth policy and programming for NGOs in Jordan, Palestine and Libya. We have advised NGOs in Egypt on protocols for trauma-informed approaches to dealing with orphans and care-leavers.

In the UAE, we have worked to identify, analyse, and disaggregate datasets related to children's social care cases, and developed recommendations to inform government approaches to the sector.

We have researched, developed, and evaluated extensive education-to-employment, skills development, youth engagement, and anti-child labour policies and projects in Jordan and Palestine, and we continue to engage with government, UN, and NGO clients in this space.

CASE STUDY

Situational Analysis of vulnerable children and youth in Jordan

Delta Strategies consulted for Terre des Hommes in Jordan, tasked with conducting a detailed situational analysis of vulnerable youth in Jordan, designed to inform and support the design of future country strategies and programmes.

Adopting a 'PESTEL' model, the team focused on marginalised and high-risks groups based on gender, socio-economic situation, disability status, and rurality, to develop a series of key findings and recommendations for programme design, implementation, and beneficiary targeting.
